Well, there seems to be an orgasm in my ears... Again. I am not even sure how they do it. Here is a band that has been around for 20+ years, gone through more musical changes than I even thought possible, and still managing to make incredible music that sounds so good I am having trouble constructing this post.
I'm pretty sure they're new and even more original than a Charlie Kaufman screenplay.

you have got to see them live--I saw them in LA when they were backing beck. white suits and fake blood, confetti and bouncing balls thrown into the audience, a nun puppet, megaphone, oh and the musicianship...
yeah, the shows are amazing. giant balloons and hundred of babies sitting on blankets. thanks for the new tunes. i wrote about them leaving "you gotta hold on" off the album here:

1st of all thanks for running the most in touch blog. Secondly, i have been geeked for the new lips album for a longwhile. it's too bad that yeah song sucks ass so much. minus the reverb it's TOTALLY worthless. Still love em though. if you've ever been to a show with more than 2 bands you've seen the flaming lips costumes and all. i mean come on people. we already know. i'm coming off a lil rough, huh. sorry.
i heard the new album and it is nothing other than completely awesome!!!!! i have yet to see them live; i am definitely missing out
I got an advance copy and it is great. The Flaming Lips are the most endearing band in all of Rock and roll. Wayne is a true hero and leader of all that is good about rock!.
I think the new album is terrible. Using phlowtron's words: TOTALLY worthless. I expected MUCH better.
