The Mitchell Brothers are already huge in the UK, and they're blowing up in the U.S. as I type. They're the first signing to The Streets' Mike Skinner’s label, The Beats. That's not surprising in the least bit for a number of reasons... ONE: Mitchell Brothers' debut album was written in the back of The Streets' tour bus when the two were on tour together in 2005. TWO: Teddy (one of the Mitchell's) can be heard on The Streets' song "Fit But You Know It." THREE: They actually sound a hell of a lot like Skinner, utilizing the same style and humor we all fell in love with on A Grand Don't Come For Free.
Skinner didn't just happen on these boys one day though...although he may have thought he did. Apparently, Tony Mitchell performed a reverse pickpocket manoeuvre in the line at Barclays in Brixton and slipped a demo CD into Skinner’s pocket. Skinner later went on to sign the band to his label and produce their debut, A Breath Of Fresh Attire! How sweet it that? The song we have for you today, a world-wide exclusive premiere (IGIF's first!), is a hilariously vulgar, calculated song that begins with a spot about oral sex, and ends with a little skit (like many Streets songs do). Check it out:

Aside from appearing on Mitchell Brothers latest album, "Wish I Did The Same" also appears on the upcoming Vice Guide To Travel DVD. We've got another exclusive, a video clip from that DVD featuring Mitchell Brothers, as well as a track from DFA1979:

Nice track :)
Have to say that the Mitchell Brothers are far from huge in the UK?
They sank without trace, the album sold about 4 copies and none of the singles sold very well (with the exception possibly of Harvey Nicks).
Shame beacuse theyre none too shabby
love this song, but i don't think it's that new -- it was on the album that was released last year.
don't see much about these guys, so thanks for the post
