Just another reason to love The Arcade Fire. A friend of mine says if there's one thing he'd change about Funeral, it'd be improving Win's vocals. I disagree (and think they're perfect for the album) but certainly if one song puts his vocal skills to the test, it's this one.

Hello Fans. For those of you who have managed to get a hold of some of the leaked tracks. we'd like to ask you not to share them for the time being. Arcade Fire have spent the past year putting their heart and soul into this album and a select few have managed to upset everyone by giving it away. we all know thaht these things get out on the net, but there is a time and a place to do this. please help make this album special by not sharing until around a week or so before the album comes out. we would all really appreicate it if you could show a little respect for the band.

Interesting request. So you're not against the sharing of the music, you just don't want it to be share so soon.
Does the timing relate to the liklihood of people buying the album?
well, the band has a carefully planned schedule of the way things are supposed to happen so we'll all be as excited as possible when the album comes out. i don't blame them for that.
on the other hand, it would be nice if their management didn't take a "show a little respect" stance, though. everyone knows that the only reason things leak and get posted is because people love the music and want to hear it. i doubt the arcade fire feel insulted, even if they want to keep the tracks veiled as long as possible.
imo this song sucks. it seems like they're very deliberately trying to sound "big". the lyrics are also pretty damn weak. also, when the song picks up into full-on arena mode, the production of the instruments sounds flat and anti-climactic... but, the version i have has a very low bit-rate. and yeah, his singing is pretty good... nevertheless, i'm expecting this album to be a disappointment, though i would love for it to be great.

this is my favorite song on the new album. it's absolutely brilliant.
Neon Bible is somehow better than Funeral. How'd that happen?
I won't respect the band by waiting until their release date.. they refused to clear one of their songs from their previous album (Rebellion(Lies)) for the pilot episode of this new show called The Black Donnellys when the song really tied the whole ending of the episode together and just made it amazing. Now there's a friggin Snow Patrol song in its place and I will never forgive the Arcade Fire for that.
This song is the best of the album, which is great! I love them (and I think they feel insulted) You're the best!
