Oliver Future: "The Reclamation"

"Pardon our behavior, it's just in our nature / Pardon our behavior, it's our human nature"

[MP3] Oliver Future - The Reclamation

Those lines will be the first pair of lyrics you hear and they'll quickly become a pair of your more memorable sets. Oliver Future offers those apologetic lines in a delivery that sounds like a pre-pubescent David Byrne. The opening guitar has a echoing effect like it was plugged directly into one of your ears, the sounds just bouncing around inside your skull. A keyboard imitating a woodwind personally escorts you into a guitar riff that is reminiscent of The Beatles. The lyrics start off in a solid structure of back and forth contradiction, but become more complex and fully flushed out as the song progresses. Throughout the entire song the layers of music will repeatedly continue smacking you in the face, your only remedy is to turn the other cheek. If psychedelic rock had a semi-electronic distant cousin, Oliver Future would be his name.
