[MP3] Lupe Fiasco: "Superstar" (Acoustic/Live)

I'm coming fresh off a trip to Ohio University where I met some nifty people and acculturated myself to their own (unique) perspective of a collegiate lifestyle. For those that claim blogger death, you are sorely mistaken. Personal lives and academic obligations can't just be tossed onto the back burner at a moment's notice (although that'd be ideal) and often force business (school) over pleasure (site). Regardless, I have some fresh tracks, videos, and features I can't wait to spread around like an airborne plague.

In the interim, check out this version of Lupe Fiasco's "Superstar" performed live and (better yet) acoustic! Transforming any rap or hip-hop song into a piano or guitar driven track usually spawns some interesting results, this being no exception. I can't get enough of this version; the guitar work is pleasant enough to stand alone but plays a fantastic complimentary role to Lupe's softer spoken verses. Lupe is quite the raw musician and his recent trip to BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge resulted in a fantastic twist being put on the original smash hit. If you function on a "seeing is believing" basis then I'd suggest watching the video accompanying the track - both are grin worthy bits of media.

Ohio University? Home of Matt Lauer and Thom Brennemann? I hear it's a great campus, hot chicks and lots of partying. Must be nice. JIMMY

Hello,

The comments posted about GW Williams are part of a viral marketing campaign. This person has a home-made recording on Amazon.com . You can listen to samples and see why it's clear that they had to resort to this sort of thing.
Reference to Eric Clapton, John Mayer or other prominent non-fictional guitarists seem to be drawing him in.
Please feel free to delete this entry along with his.
This seems like a nice place. It's too bad he's decided to invade it.
We've been doing battle with him and his multiple personalities on Topix. There are several indications in his posts and IP addresses that point to him being incarcerated quite possibly at Folsom prison near Sacramento.

Again, I apologize for barging in. Please feel free to block me and this other person as well
