I'm not feeling fat or sassy and I doubt you'd need a coat in this weather but I did just get back from Louisville after being forced to listen to a friend's spectacular band whilst doing the fake smile+head bob as my ears wept internally. Things have been slow around here with summer radiating in full form but hopefully you've been outside as much as I have. I was sent a couple new Stills tracks a month or so back and have been mulling them over whilst playing some of their older stuff. Their sound has definitely changed over the span of the two albums since their debut and it honestly has me pining for the "Lola Stars And Stripes" and "Love & Death" days. However, I'm diggin' the dynamics and various instrumental breakdowns on the new tune "Rooibos / Palm Wine Drinkard". There is a fantastic percussion build up at the end that had my ears waiting for some monumental breakthrough as opposed to the song just, erm, ending. Nonetheless, it worked for The Stills so perhaps it'll work for you as well.

is there honestly anyone with an internet connection and a youtube account that hasn't seen this video already? likewise, is there anyone that likes the Stills and pines for them to return to their debut form that hasn't already wiped their ears all over this track? get the fuck with it, fools.
