It's Monday morning and, as you can see from my living room window, my street, trusty Volvo, and surrounding city have fallen victim to a nasty November downpour. With it being so gray and gloomy it's hard not to recall the famed Carpenters tune "Rainy Days and Mondays", a song I first heard via an infomercial for a greatest hits compilation when I was somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 years-old. Ever since that time I've never been able to look at a Monday, a rainy day, or both simultaneously (like today) the same.

Yet, that is not the only reason to be glum this morning. Going through the routine of opening CDs and spinning a few I forgot that silly old rule of a "dime a dozen". About halfway through my first dozen I came across a song that was so cheesy that I couldn't pass it up. Normally I don't put up a song that could be shown in a negative light, but it's one of those tunes that makes you mutter "Wow..." under your breath. Plus it definitely helps curtail the shoddy feelings of a rainy Monday morning...

That song's pretty funny, I can't believe someone actually made a song like that. Sounds like something that'd be on a Weight Watchers commercial.
