Way back in April, NYC music blog Finger on the Pulse propped up Passion Pit's "Sleepyhead" for a remix contest. It's a good thing we didn't know about this back then, because we wouldn't have had to wait as long as some for a winner to be announced. The winning submission is by Wallpaper. (the period is part of his name), whose CD T. Rex you probably didn't buy or steal last year (unless you thought T.Rex (period also intentional) had put out a reunion album). But hey, dude's back in the spotlight for this one:

i totally agree with your crit on wallpaper.. the remix is good but listening to t.rex is downright painful at times. 'txt me yr love' c'mon man.

I think if it ain't broke don't fix it.
I don't even bother with remixes generally. Chunk Of Change EP was one of my favorite EPs of 2008.
Ya why fuck with the original. It was perfect.
Come on though, you still need some diversity.
