[MP3] new Modest Mouse: "I've Got It All(most)"

I hope everyone had a hoppin' Easter and received a basket full of your favorite cavity creators (just don't put the Peeps in the microwave)! Since April is upon us, I've had trouble ignoring my anticipation for the other "A" month: August. There are a lot of cool things happening in August but I'm most looking forward to the new Modest Mouse material accessible on their upcoming EP No One's First and You're Next . Of course, by now you've probably checked out the Letterman video of Brock & Co. performing the new single "Satellite Skin". The new tune will be available on a limited 7" vinyl next week and is yet another reason why Record Store Day is going to be rad with a capital "R".

[MP3] Modest Mouse - Satellite Skin (Live on Letterman)

While I was anticipating and investigating their new EP, I came across the tracklisting of expected songs to be included on their August release. Although I was familiar with about half of the songs on the EP, one in particular struck me as somewhat odd since I've had it in my iTunes since Good News released (what feels like) forever ago. It was included on "The Good Times Are Killing Me" single as a b-side and was subsequently taken off iTunes by the band shortly thereafter. I guess I happened to be at the right place at the right time way back when and managed to snag "I've Got It All(most) - a new track (a term used loosely in this context) that is quite excellent.

I've wondered (countless times) how this track was left off of Good News; it's a great tune with a solid melody, nice guitar work, and the coy lyricism that makes Modest Mouse one of my favorites ("Tell your Gods / I wanna speak to their fathers!"). Whether or not it'll actually appear on the upcoming EP remains to be seen, hopefully it won't be long until the rest of the tracks remain to be heard!

I was searching on google for music sites and i found http://www.jhankar.pk and http://www.musicmaza.com . Both are content rich websites with upto date hindi songs, videos, wallpapers and song lyrics collection.

So i strongly recommend to check both the sites and leave your feedback.

that was probably the worst performance on letterman this month. between the out-of-tune guitars and a voice that never seems to sing on key, oy. maybe they have peaked and are starting the trek down the other side of the coaster?

Ehh. I don't think that's necessarily going to be the case.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Modest Mouse as a band. I don't think they'll be around forever either, but I'd be lying if I thought Isaac Brock wasn't going to be around for a long time in other capacities. Albeit solo, Ugly Casanova, etc.

It's also on the DualDisc version of GNFPWLBN, and the "Float On" single. One of the few physical singles I actually own, which now I'm even more glad I do.

Anyway, love the blog, keep up the good work guys.
