It's a great day for collaborations apparently! I'm gonna go ahead and guess that our friends at Gorilla vs Bear already jumped on this today (Ed- that would be a correct assumption). When Atlas Sound and freakin' Panda Bear hook up to make a song you can pretty much bet your asses it's gonna be incredible. Like best song of the summer incredible.

people who know even the tiniest bit about brian wilson / beach boys seem to think panda bear isn't really doing anything new with his vocal style (that's putting nice) or he's completely ripping wilson off (harsh, but more accurate). good artists copy, great artists steal etc etc
every time i hear a new song with pbear's vocals i can't help loving it. for me he's got one of the definitive voices in indie music, and i think it'll be that way for a while.
i hope you're able to get into his stuff sooner or later, i'm sure i'm not the only person to say you're missing out on some really really good shit.
